Remember how the Ford engineers (and others) were denying the extent of aluminum to be used in the new F150's.
They were saying would have more aluminum panels but said definitely not the main cab structure. They were already built, "all aluminum"
Don, hope you were not wearing your "Ram" cap when you were questioning this guy.. :B :B :B :B :B
Say what?
This was @ the 2013 Detroit Auto Show or NAIAS
Sure looks like the "main cab structure" to me!
Nope I was deep under cover, even had a Ford SVO hat on in the Ford area and a Bow-tie over at the Chevy area. :W
Don
Don, you are missing my point on this and with your picture of the GT.
What I said/meant was...
Prior to the intro of the aluminum cab (as you saw at show); there were rumours of it. BUT the Ford engineers were still denying it. :S
Prior to the intro of the GT a LOT of Ford engineers didn't even know about it as it was built at a kind of "skunk-works"
Point being.....
The engineers either don't know :?
------------OR-----------
Do know and lie to your face. :@
So you really can't take as fact something you heard at an auto show.
You follow me now Don :W
You may be right but I still believe there will be a boosted DI gas motor in Superduty eventually.
Usually, the more they deny, the higher the likelihood... :B
