One thing that Mulally purportedly changed at Ford was showing their hand prematurely. His view was "why give your competitors a heads up to what your next move is?"
If Ford is exploring the possibility of a V8 Ecobeast, what possible business benefit could they gain by blabbing about it possibly years before it would be on the market?
