Fourkidletts, you make a great point of the importance of prior knowledge before walking onto the dealer lot. You, the buyer alone, are responsible for operating a properly loaded vehicle. You must know beforehand, the weights placed in or on the truck, to include all passengers, provisions, hitch, loaded trailer tongue weight etc. Also know the weight of the trailer. Add a few pounds for unknowns and ask for a truck that will easily handle those numbers. Then make them confirm their findings. You will know your requirements, let them do the work to satisfy them.
