I'm usually not one for more government and more rules but it would be nice to require some education before people can get licensed to tow/drive RVs. Kind of like a motorcycle endorsement (we have those in Oregon - not sure about elsewhere).
Consumers are at the mercy of truck manufacturers boasting about max towing #s that are virtually unattainable (unless you have your wife and kids drive in another vehicle behind you). Then, the consumers get to the RV salesman that no matter the trailer the answer is always, "you'll be fine."
It's quite an eye-opener once you understand all the #s and what they mean.
