The biggest question I have is, how is your Tundra pulling it? I have a 2010 Tundra (with the Rock Warrior package). 5.8L V8
Having any problems pulling something that heavy? Also, did you install a Brake Controller and did you get some type of add-on for your mirrors so you can see down the side of the trailer?
Not sure if your question was for me; my trailer isn't all that heavy. With the 5.7 in the Tundra and my trailer at 3700 lbs. loaded, it's easy to forget the trailer is back there.
I used to use mirrors that clamped onto my front fenders, when I towed with a 2001 Tacoma (the trailer salesman said I could do it :o), then with a 2000 Tundra. I decided with the 2011 to get the aftermarket towing mirrors. I got them on Ebay for about $200. When you're towing, you pull them out to the extended position and push them in when not towing. I believe they are the same mirrors for 2007 through 2013 Tundras. Original equipment Toyota mirrors are about $400. I really like them, but it was a project installing them and I haven't been able to sell the sport mirrors I took off the Tundra. Not yet, anyway.
Brake controller is essential, IMHO.
