Humm, with what you have said I'm also thinking there may be carbon build up on the thermocouple. Or, it may not be positioned in the flame good enough. Make sure it is clean and directly in the flame.
I'm not so sure about the carburetor cleaner thing though. Sounds flammable to me, plus it stinks.
It is flammable, but evaporates very quickly. And works great for this problem. If that's what it is.
It does sound like it. Not enough gas is getting through those little holes to ignite. With the little red straw, spray the holes well. As mentioned before, lay some rags under it to catch excess. Wipe it dry, and let it sit for about 5 or 10 minutes before trying to light.
You can also take the assembly off to clean it. - hohenwald48ExplorerHow long are you waiting after turning up the oven temp before you decide it "won't light" ? Might just need to be a little patient. There can sometimes be a good delay between turning the knob and the burner lighting.

- slacklineExplorerYes there seems to be a good flame on pilot and dose get bigger . Burners have nice flame even when all on . It's a Magic chief stove .
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIWith pilot flame lit.......
When oven temp knob it turned up does pilot flame get bigger?
Does it engulf the tip of thermocouple and get it 'hot'?
How long are they waiting for main gas valve to open and main burner to lite off?
If only 10 seconds or so........patience
Mine can take 45 seconds before thermocouple is hot enough to allow main gas valve to open and send propane to main burner.
Thermocouple has to be in flame to get hot and cleaning the thermocouple is always beneficial. - TucsonJimExplorer IIDo you have good flame on the cooktop? If not, it's probably a gas issue.
What is the brand and model of oven? I can send you some troubleshooting ideas. - ScottGNomadCarbon build up.
Put some rags under and around the pilot area (flame off of course). Clean thoroughly with carburetor cleaner (dissolves carbon) and let dry.
I've fixed two RV ovens that way.
