Not sure why... the same empty weight in the rear, the same rear suspension, the same GVWR. The only difference is the weight on the FRONT axle, which isn't what you are concerned with.
That post should give you EXACTLY the information you need. The gas and diesel engine trucks have the same rear axle, and therefore the same carrying capacity. Not sure what else you need to extrapolate or why it needs to specifically be a diesel truck...
