I'd guess he meant light duty truck.
Back in 2004 when I bought a truck camper, the slide in mfg had on their website that the camper (which I ended up buying) was specifically made for the Ford F250 and other similar trucks.
When I put that camper on a scale on my 2004 F250, with maybe a quarter tank of gas, nobody in the truck, and not loaded with anything for camping, the combination weighed 8,700#, on a truck with a GVWR of 8,800#. Calling that camper as being made for an F250, was a little absurd.
