Yup, our old f250 had a gvwr of 8800lbs but when the truck weighs 7k in the first place, it doesn't give you much room to work with for hauling campers.
We had a Kodiak camper that the sticker said weighed 2500lbs dry, once loaded and family in tow, we scaled at 11, 500lbs.
