The new Rams are towing beasts. Unfortunately the Ram trucks have had crummy brakes for years. Besides the the hard pressure required the proportioning is way to front brake heavy, especially when loaded, and it gets even worse with the factory rear air bags. You get the historically loose/vauge Dodge Ram steering thrown in as a free bonus. They've got a lot of flaws but the engine/drivetrain combo just make it all worthwhile towing through the mountains. That said I'd want more power if I had to put an overweight B&W hitch in the bed....:D
Last two Dodges I owned were a '99 and '03.
When I got my '09 Chevy the first thing I noticed was that the brakes took more pedal effort when stopping than the Dodges.
All three are 2500 4x4's.
