Looks good! If you're concerned with possible future problems due to the unsupported pipes, you could use a couple of Pipe straps to hold everything in place.

Well I fixed the hot side with Shark-bite fittings. It was much easier in the tight space. I was a little concerned about leaks as there is some bend due to the weight and not being supported but so far so good.

I really think the cold weather might have had something to due with this as both the connections where the flex line was on the connector were loose, but it did not leak before.

I would cut the whole business out and repace with sharkbite/gatorbite fittings, new pex as needed, and new flex lines with threaded ends to the fixture and into the mouse hole.

No hose clamps.

Just curious, what did you pay for the flare-it fittings?

Feeling for 'ya Bob. There is nothing more frustrating then putting it all back together and having another leak. I pulled all my old plumbing and installed new PEX, using crimps. I did use one Sharkbite union. There's a time and place for Sharkbite. I think you've found it.

Well I fixed the cold side and the leak was at the elbow on the flex line side. However due to the lack of room to work in I could not get the band cut off even with a dremel tool with carbide bit. So I redid the hole thing with Flare-it fittings. I don't like them and will not use them again. They are really hard to get the PEX on the fittings. It did not leak, but after getting it all back together I now have a leak on the Hot water side in the same elbow. So I thinking about Shark bite fittings for the ease of working in limited space. Or I might just get the tool and clamps.

From the pic, it appears the towel is under the 'T' fitting. If that is the case, you can undo the crimp by inserting a straight, but slim profile screwdriver under the crimp flap and work it off its retainer. But...... when the crimp is loose, it still will be difficult to remove the pex pipe off the barbed fitting.

I just did some plumbing to put a new bathroom in the basement and had a plumber rough in the piping. He used PEX, and left the pipe stubs through the wall. I was very apprehensive of doing the work myself, but put my 'big boy pants on' and bought the crimping tool and crimps, ($40 at Lowes) and did the final connections myself. Much to my surprise it was a piece of cake. One of the reasons I got the tool was that RV's use the same system, so I thought this was a great investment. The water has been turned on in the bathroom for 2 days now and narry a drop leaking anywhere. While I have used Shark Bite fittings I was not confident as the fittings can spin in the pipe, which did not seem right.

Anyway, I would try to redo the connections in that area with PEX, and buy metal fittings instead of the plastic ones.
