And DutchmenSport, did they give you a "Huge" discount? I refuse to buy a new 3/4 ton Diesel because the list on it compared to my 2006 is $48K, taxes, liscense and destination, dealer prep bring it to 54K. Add on the fact it lost about 20% by driving it off the dealers lot and what do you have? How many miles were on the 06, what model? loaded? Was it in a "10" condition. Which dealer gave you this deal? I want to know how much hes getting for the used one.

It's all information...how do you say it...'positive information'. Perhaps positive for consumers.

I'm all for any information about any and all products. Whether it be about GM, Dodge or Ford trucks.

Yes...as we say in the prairies, you need to be able to separate the wheat from the chaff, But that goes without saying....about any issue in life.

Also one needs to ensure that one's emotional attachment to a product, a person, an opinion or an issue....doesn't get in the way of one's ability to look at an issue objectively...and accept or reject another opinion ...based on facts.

Too many times do I see threads that are just started, or opinions that are contributed, because some individual wants to start a new round in the Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge wars.

I don't see that point.

American Auto stock should be treated like pocket money in Vegas, jump in, have fun and walk away.

Well, when I bought it they weren't paying a dividend, now it is around 3.5%.

That is fine until you wake up one day and find the shares are worthless. The fact is the GM and Chrysler bailouts changed the rules in the middle of the game. Now the stock and debt of an auto maker must be viewed differently than stock and debt of other industries. Two cliches come to mind. 1. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. 2. Never get bit by the same dog twice. Enjoy your 3.5%, but if it falls apart, you should have seen it coming.

All 2014 GM 1500 series trucks recalled last night. They now have announced recalls on 4.8 million vehicles in the last two months. I guess they need some positive news.
