- 45RicochetExplorerFirst change your sig :W Oh yeah congrats!
I don't think your going to need bags :B - Dpica15ExplorerI don't have a pic,but i had my eagle pinned to my truck and it drops about 1".
Pin weight is about 1800lbs. Truck is 2011 f250 fx4 stock - GdetrailerExplorer IIII don't have a 5vr but I have hauled 2,000 lbs in cement blocks and mortar mix in the back of my 2013 F250 short bed, no overloads or camper package..
Most of the load was at or behind the axles for easy reach loading and unloading..
That load drops the back of my truck about 2.5 inches. - LearjetExplorer40 bags of mulch @ 2000 lbs
- todoubleExploreryou wont need them with the gas engine in the 250. its when you get the heavy diesel engine it eats up alot of your payload capacity.
- Buck50HDExplorerI don't think the diesels have much more on the rear axle and they share the same spring pack so it should be comparable.
Just to clarify... I'm not trying to add load carrying capacity. There is plenty of payload and rear axle capacity for our rig. I just want to know if I'll need something to help level out the truck when it's hooked up. Don't want to be sagging too bad in the rear since the truck only has 1/2" of rake to it unloaded. My F150HD started 3" high in the rear so it could squat a lot before it looked funny. - ib516Explorer IIThe new F250s do seem to sag more than the old ones did.
- kennethwoosterExplorerJust traded my 2011 F250 in for a F350 DRW. Main reason. the F250 had to have air bags or it is horrible with 5th wheel hooked. I think I figured that you can get 2 different spring packages on the F250.
- JIMNLINExplorer IIIAnother poster may have 2000 lb pin weight but that has nothing to do with how much load his trucks rear axle is carrying or how much it squats.
I see this when some say their F250 CC SB 2wd 6.7 156.2" wheelbase weighs 8100 lbs and another poster with the same F250 CC SB 2wd 6.7 156.2" wheelbase weighs 7100 lbs.
How much the truck squats is more to do with actual load carried in the truck and over the rear axles as some folks like to load the kitchen sink and guys like me carry very little .
just sayin' - miloExplorer IIOK Buck.. why'd you abandon the ole HD Ecoboost for a 6.2 250?
