How can you plug in your 30amp cord from your camper to your home power and be able to run the ac?

Put in a 30 amp circuit from your electrical panel

X2, buy an RV power kit at your local big box home improvement store and hire Joe the electrician to hook it up for you.
  • I use a 30A to 15A adapter and I bought a nice 10g extension cord that plugs into a dedicated 20A circuit.
  • Go to Walmart, purchase a 30a to 15a reducer, plug a short 25 ft. extension cord into house receptacle, insert reducer and plug 30a cord in. This has worked for three of my units over the years, just do not try to use other appliances (such as microwave, TV or other load pulling appliances) and it should power a 15,000 btu air unit fine
