Powered Hang Gliders At The Salton Sea Free Camping VIDEO

Powered Hang Gliders At The Salton Sea.
I make use of my new Sigma 159 600 mm Sport lens and try the lens doubler for 300 1200 mm photography. Very fun to watch. These are highlights. I also interview one of the pilots. Quick view of Salton City.

You'll know you are getting close (5 miles away) to the Salton Sea by the dead fish stench.....

Cool - I've never seen so many gathered in one spot before! Technically, those are "powered parasails" - a hang glider is a delta-shaped wing.

I'm pretty good at flying parasail kites; and was invited once, to try a powered parasail, but I wasn't sure that I could RUN with an 80-lb motor strapped to my back, to get the thing aloft....LOL!

The pilot I interviewed the last third or so of the video is retired since 12 31 2021. 66 and flying, just saying.
