Most of you have probably already seen these but thought it was a pretty neat way of connecting my truck to my trailer and it actually worked. got it at Walmart.
I had those but the screw stripped out that holds the rod to the magnet. Now I use this RearViewSafety RVS-83112 Wireless Hitch Camera. The monitor plugs into the cig lighter outlet and the camera magnetically attaches to the license plate or tail gate. No more getting in and out of the truck 3 times to hitch up.
When I got the two balls to meet fore and aft it placed the ball directly under the hitch. All I had to do was run the electric whatchamacallit down till it went right on the ball. Quick and easy.
Yep, I got a pair for Christmas. They help me get close. The only thing on my truck I wish I had that I don't is a back up camera. We have one on our Explorer and I can place the hitch perfectly to our utility trailer.
I had a pair of those that I got a few years ago, and they did help (to some extent), at least they got me close, which was a good thing because I am a solo camper. After a while, and as my trailer and I got better acquainted, I did just as well without them. I ended up giving them to a friend of mine that has a landscaping service. They are a great tool.
