purpose of roof lights?
Why do 3/4 and above pickups have a row of lights on the roof, but not the 1/2 ton? What purpose do the lights serve, other than working-man's "bling"?

Again, maybe a regional thing? I've never seen the cab lights on a 1/2 ton truck unless they were put on after market...(again, just in area's I spoke of earlier)..Never saw them on a 3/4 ton, but knew sometimes you could order them...Every 1 ton dually I've owned since 2005 have had the lights on the cab...I wondered why and was told same thing as mentioned before, width of the vehicle. You also have the extra lights on the fenders of the dually, where as you don't have it on the SRW trucks...
