purpose of roof lights?
Why do 3/4 and above pickups have a row of lights on the roof, but not the 1/2 ton? What purpose do the lights serve, other than working-man's "bling"?

Not in WV, TN, NC, SC and VA to name a few....I see them on 1 ton SRW and 1 ton Dually's, but only way I've seen them on a 3/4 ton truck is if they've been ordered that way or they're been put on as aftermarket. I knew it dealt with width of vehicle, but makes me wonder why they come on 1 ton SRW trucks if that's the case...(maybe more a regional thing?)
My bad. I was referring to the trailer requirement for lighting.
