Rain gutter drip diverters

My trailer has drip diverters that stick out about 2 inches from the end of the drip rail gutters. They are there to divert the run off from the gutter, helping to keep the water from sheeting down the side of the trailer. The problem comes when I have the trailer covered for the winter. The diverters stick out and cause a sharp friction point that wears the cover. They appear to be permanently mounted, so removal and replacement isnt really an option. Any suggestions on how I could cover them to protect the RV cover from wearing through at the corners where it goes over the diverters?

I cut about 3" off a swim noodle and shove it on the diverter.

    Quick, cheap, and easy.
  • Be sure they are permanent. I added them on my gutters. I recently had one fall off so I know mine are not permanent.
