Peak torque rating has nothing to do with how the engine will hold speed on a grade.
The engine that can put down the most horsepower is what will determine the outcome. That will be determined by which engine has the best gear match to allow the engine to operate at its peak horsepower rpm.
The fact the hemi has to be wound up to twice the RPM to make its max HP will make a difference in real world towing but the hemi was pretty impressive with that much weight behind it.
Wonder if there is much torque managing going on with the Aisin transmission models.
Good videos, much appreciated. Only comment would be that it would have been nice to see the Cummins tach as well.
