4 sec 0-60 in an EcoBoost F150

I didn't buy my EB to drag race. I rarely go half way to the floor with the gas pedal, no need. The only time I hammered it was when some dip wad kept speeding up and slowing down to keep me off the interstate in Michigan. That time I slowed down a bit with him slowing also and then I floored it and left him sitting there wondering what the heck happened. My wife said that I was grinning when I did it. One of the oldest tricks in the books back in the 70's.

Drag racing is hard on most drivetrains. Keep drag racing with a tuned 5L and you will likely break something sooner or later.

Baloney is what I'm calling on your payload comparisons. A F-250 gas version can be well into the 3k range, even nearing 4k depending on options. So your saying your F-150 was more than that?

Show me that from the Ford spec sheets. There is no 150 that has the weight capacities close to an F350. Why would Ford build F250's & 350's when all the needed to build was F150 with all the tow capabilities. By the way that maxed F150 costs about what an F250XLT would cost you.

You will run out of pay load on that F150, with RV, passengers, equipment.

My Duramax doesn't drag race worth a ****.

But it sure can pull my 12K home on wheels up a 10% grade in 110 degree weather. :B

I think I'll keep it despite it's shortcomings! :B

That was a 2.7 EB that has a lighter drivetrain (except transmission) compared to the 3.5 EB.

And IIRC the little 2.7 spanked the 5.0 V8 in the towing acceleration test- before Andre broke it.
