Atvanish, probably won't be much help tp you, but I traded a 2013, 3.55 half ton Ram for my 14 with 3.92 rear. My mileage is about the same but I do notice better pulling power. Not a great comparison, the 13 had a 6 speed where the 14 has the eight speed. I could not be more pleased with the 3.92, my highway mileage is probably the best of any truck if owned, and the power is always there. If I required a 2500/3500 truck, it would have the 4:10 rear,. It will not burn more fuel than the 3:73 pulling and empty numbers would be so close you will need a calculator to notice the difference. Knowing that extra power is there would make it all worthwhile.
