NC Hauler, you mock the one guy because he is talking about frame reinforcement for off-roading in the same exact post where you mock Ford for having a tailgate that won't open when it is seriously flexed as if it was going off-roading.
You then state that you have no intention of taking your truck off-roading, probably because it is meant to haul your RV, therefore you have no need for this reinforcement kit.
What about the Ford driver who is much like you... he has a dually to haul around a 15K lbs+ 5th wheel and will never take either further off-road that a gravel driveway in the RV park?
Just like the reinforcement kit is ridiculous to you, this marketing hype is ridiculous to him.
I've never really been "off roading" before in my life. I have a 4wd truck to handle winter snow and wet grass in campgrounds. This marketing ploy is nothing more than that... I will NEVER intentionally have my truck perched like that. If I somehow ever find it like that, I will move it before I try to open my tailgate.
Typical of these guys, we have a couple Ram fan boys for sure. Had a ford super duty for nearly 16 years, trust me never had a frame problem, took it places that I probably shouldn't have . No reinforcement kits, hell I didn't even know until I read this ridiculous thread that there could be frame issues, also towed a 13K fifth wheel with it for several years.
For the record I own a 2014 Ram Cummins, hope its half the truck that Ford turned out to be after 16 years. - RedRocket204Explorer

I personally would have liked to have seen them do the twist test with the tailgate down. I would almost bet the Ford would not have gotten the back wheel off the ground and probably would have buckled a bed panel. I believe the tailgate was acting as a brace.
As far as the Brace for the ram steering. The 13 and up have it already made into the truck from the factory. The aftermarket world is offering it because they know there are people that will buy it just because it's made. - RedRocket204Explorer

OK, found what you were talking about. Having previously owned a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500, a 2001 Ram 2500 and a 2006 Ram 3500, I've never had steering problems or found the need to even look for that product before.
Course I've never off roaded that much with any of them, nor placed over sized tires or wheels, so perhaps leaving things stock has saved me potential problems.
So I remain firmly convinced that an after market gizmo, from a company of unknown reliability, for a problem I've never had, will ever grace my vehicle.
Besides, who need knowledge when you have this forum for reference? :B
Good observation. Much like the jobsites coming to a screeching halt because the Ford tailgate would not open? So while this is a great marketing commercial, that is all it is. - NC_HaulerExplorer

Thank you Mad Norsky..I didn't even bother to look it up, but same as you, I'm not planning to take my truck off road or put over sized tires on it or put a lift or leveling kit on it, so I guess if one is going to "modify" their truck to do something like above, they'd need something like what ROBERTSUNRUST is talking about:h??? I'm also guessing that this "part" ISN'T offered to Chevy/GM or Ford owners from the way he makes the statement??
Found a few "tidbits" of information which can easily be found on line from my 2013 Ram truck 3500 brochure (you know, like the one's Chevy/GM or Ford owners will pick up at the dealership to learn what all is offered on the truck they're purchasing)..

Again, does this company ONLY offer this product For the Dodge Ram truck only or is it also offered to Ford and GM/Chevy truck owners also...ie, after market for what purpose?
