I've been pulled over at 150 percent of manufacturers gvwr, have yet to get an over weight ticket up to that amount. But was under paid for tonnage, under legal enforced axle limits per federal bridge laws. Which.by.the way, do not follow manufactures warranty max limits.
An over weight ticket is a.non moving violation, so even if you were to get an overweight ticket per say, pay fine/tax you owe for going down the road.....you're golden! Being over weight is NOT generally.speaking a available offense per say. The per say.meaning, as long as you do not have multiple offenses which.Are not paid for.
Where being over a manufactures rating may.get you.in trouble, is if an Leo does a field brake test, you fail, THAT is a moving vehicle.violation, that will be turned into licensing dept. THAT will follow driving record, along with getting vehicle impounded where.it is at, a tow or flatbed trailer or truck ride to service place to repair brakes........
