It’s the Diesel Regret that I find far too often in RV parks that makes me wonder.
Why are so many elderly gents hating their diesels when young guns think they are the bomb?
You already admitted to making up the quotes from people who supposedly hate their diesels. Remember?
The quotes are true its just the way that I portray the proud diesels owners that gets some fellas.
Here are some of your so called quotes,
"Just like when riding shotgun with the owner of the 7.3L. He acted like I was nuts when I asked doesn't this thing have any more go to get up over the hill? "You will burn it up, that's all the more fuel you can give it or she will overheat dummy" he said."
" “Dat dare truck gets me 25mpg. I can hook up to dat dare 40ft 5th wheel wid mamas entire brass roster collection inside and I don’t even know its behind me. Yes sir boy, I pulled that rig up over (so high it makes you dizzy pass) like it was not even there. Probably would have left the ground at the top had it not been for the sun reflecting off mars and gettin into me eyes. Had to back out of er ya know”.
"“Dat dare truck will run for 700,000 miles without so much as an oil change and when I trade it in I will look to get near what I paid fer her cause everyone wants dat dare diesel”. “Would rather part with me first born over dat dare truck”.
" “Sure I can get 21mpg running mama to the doctors office and the mall, but when I hook to my 12,000 5th wheel I am getting 9mpg. Don’t believe what anyone tells you. The mileage is single digits if you hog into it. I usually try to move between parks at night with less traffic because I don’t like holding up the trucks on the hills. This thing is wonderful in the park and on the two lane, but once you get up the ramp, its kinda, well, ahhh A DOG!”
Yep, those are sure believable quotes all right.
Here is one more of yours that I do believe, its the one where you admit you made all of them up.
In my complete bogus survey spread across RV parks from TX to NY state it appears that 100% of the respondents will not stand behind their diesel dicision
You have zero credibility in the forum. This is kind of like trying to teach a pig to sing. I ain't accomplishing anything and the pig is getiing annoyed.
You guys need to clean up the entire thread as you continue to single me out. I could go back up through and capture some real side splitters. Describing the whine of the diesel as a value-add because it "scares deer off the road". That is one of my favorites. It looks like some of you have ample time, so go look up some of the off the wall quotes depicting the passion of diesel ownership. When I portray the passion of some diesel owners you take offence. I point out current bogus info like the one diesel owner posting 28.7 MPG and you say I don't have any credibility?
My ongoing survey is bogus to the extent that I am not recording owner’s names; make model and year of the diesels that they regret. The sentiments of diesel owners that I am talking to are not bogus.
This entire thread lacks credibility. It’s an ongoing joke thread, but only club members are allowed to contribute? No, wait a minute that’s not a question, that’s fact. If the moderators would initiate some type of baloney patrol to keep it cleaned up, my depiction would have no place. I did not start with the outlandish claims, but when I repeat it back I am the bad guy.
You can pile on all you want, but many of you still refuse to get it. The thread is diesel verses gas, but the thread is being managed to a different outcome. You guys should seriously consider renaming the thread to 100 reasons why owning a Gas truck is dumb or 100 ways to attack anyone who doubts that diesels are better than a BBgasser.
It’s hard to believe that some of you can’t get it through your heads. I am not committed to the BBgasser like some that post here.
I just want someone to come out so to hook our trucks to comparable loads (Big 5th wheel) and do some 0-65 times, a long hill and some highway traveling.
I am sorry, but I can only believe it when I see it when the pride is so intoxicating. If you want to shut me up in this thread, please demonstrate how superior your diesel truck and I will post no more.
