Help A Newbie! what weight RV's should I be shopping for!?

Thanks again for all the information. Doing some poking around it looks like there are a number of units that catch my eye in the 28-30' range that is right at or just under that 7K#. I don't expect to go much farther than 200-250 miles (Black Hills) from home.. at most maybe a trip or two into northern MN.
