Recommended brands

Going to buy a new TT this year. Looking at 21'. It's just me. Anyone have an opinion on Fun Finder by Cruiser? Jayco has a good rep, I understand. Any other recommendations?
  • Just did a search on Cruise and reading a bit about their history (click here), and the fact they are located in Northern Indiana, tell me they are a good competitor for the "big 3". I've seen Cruise brands around and see no difference with them than any other brand.

The one advantage you may have with Cruise over the "big 3" is the fact it is still a family orientated company. They take pride in their product line and will more than likely work very hard with you if you have issues with your new camper.

Search result on their web site when I put "Chicago, IL" returned this:

    New Generation RV (59.3 mi)
    5675 392nd Ave, Burlington, WI 53105
    (262) 539-3600
    Fax: (262) 539-3610

    Collier RV (73.3 mi)
7373 Harrison Ave, Rockford, IL 61112
    (815) 332-3322

I can not offer an opinion on the Crusier as I have never owned one and nor do I have any friends that have had one. But I have owned 4 Jayco TTs and have found them to be of good quality. Also as far as I know they are the only brand in this class with a two year warranty.

Forest River has a 2nd year full warranty for $150 adder. I believe KZ still has a 2 year warranty.
    Happy trails,
  • People say that Jayco products come with a two year warranty. That would sway my decision knowing how many things needed fixing after the warranty expired on my brand new when bought TT.

  • I've never heard of Cruiser so can't help you with that one specifically.

When I think of the "big 3" brands it would be Jayco, Keystone and Forest River. Each of these have multiple sub-brands under the main brand. For an RV that you're planning to use on a limited basis (they aren't intended to live in full-time), one of these will likely suit you best.

They are easy to find dealers for, easy to find parts for, and easy to sell when you want to because people have heard of them. They also have a very wide array of floor plans, models and options. For what you pay all 3 are of reasonable quality.

I'd start by pouring over the manufacturer's websites for these big-3 and finding floor plans(s) that appeal to you and going from there.
