What is the actual empty weight on your trailer axles ?
If that weight is 50 % of the sum of the sidewall ratings of your current tires you should be good to go .
If you want to go all the way in a 15 inch tire then :
Goodyear Cargo G26 sized 225 /70 R 15 with a sidewall rating of 2450 # each and a 99 mph speed rating .
All graded on a tougher LT scale rather than the weaker ST scale .
I would go to the goodyear site and compare all of the specifics between the G26 Cargo , the Marathon and your Akurett .
If you have plenty of reserve capacity there is no reason to switch now .
But maybe at replacement time .
