You've got that backwards - "cool" light colour is higher Kelvin temperature, in the 5000K to 6000K range, while "warm" light colour is lower Kelvin temperature, in the 2600K to 3200K range. Personally we prefer warm as it most resembles ~ 2600K incandescent lighting we've always been used to in our homes.
