FYI...I-65 through Birmingham is THE worst highway we've ever had the displeasure of driving. Washboard is not nearly descriptive enough. The bad news is that it's the only way to get from home to FL without going many miles out of the way. Just plan on opening the cabinet doors VERY carefully. Come on, AL....please fix that thing!
Its taken ALDOT 12 years to widen I20 from Birmingham to the Georgia border and they are still not done. You'll just have to wait 10 more years for them to finish I 20 before starting 65. :)
