The tires came apart like rubber peeling off a cheap re-cap. I didn't hit anything. The tire says to inflate to 50 psi which I did. Not going to buy the Goodyear brand again.
The first blow out took off my plastic wheel cover but my second one didn't do any damage.
50psi suggests load C.. load C in that size tire is 1760lbs
so 1760*4 = 7040lbs MAX payload. if you have the 27rb then your gross is 7720lbs. tongue is 720 stock so your tires had 7000lbs on them.
that's maxed out and no reserve. no wonder they popped
I had a KZ with gross close to yours and after load calculations I too had the very same issue. I switched to Maxxis Ue168n bravo LT tires. they are available in the 205 14 inch size and are a load D commercial truck tire. so now you have 2270lbs*4 = 9080lbs
minus the tongue = 8360lbs that's a reserve of 19%.. also a speed rating of 99mph ! I never had any tire issues once I switched..
just make sure to keep the pressures at max sidewall..
