Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to cut my nose off to spite my face and go with anything other than Good Year tires. Shame on Good Year for stiffing me with an obsolete tire while on the road traveling cross country and shame on Walmart for selling such an inferior tire. I'm going to go the rest of this year on the new Marathons and then switch to the Kuhmo 857 "E" rated tires that hold 65 psi.
Wise choice
Goodyear knows the Marathons have a bad reliability problems as evident its being dropped and replaced with a better product.
Looking at safecar.gov tire complaints website shows over 138 Marathon tire complaints. At time complaints swell to as high as 260+ complaints.
Your best bet is add your Marathon complaint on this NHTSA website https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues?prodType=T.
Look under ....Goodyear......Marathons......Marathon ST.
Be sure and add all the info they ask for.
When searching for a input on a particular brand or type of tire used on trailers it works best to search the many different trailering forums. That way you get input from non rv and other rv websites. Doing so gives you more input other than just what a few on one website experience has been.
That way one persons experience with a brand or type can be eliminated. Its what we find on all the many other websites that tell the story about poor quality tires.
