Dicor does bubble the rubber roofing material. When I replaced my standard vent with a Fantastic, I used Dicor. My roof bubbled like that and I about freaked out. Called Dicor and they said it will do that. Personally I would have probed around to see if I felt the plywood roofing had softened before pulling the A/C off. Does it feel like the roof is soft underneath?
There was a lengthy discussion on the NROA forum about this. Northwood switched over to a different type of roofing material awhile back and that material does not get along well with Dicor. It requires a different brand of sealant. Many of the dealers did not even know this switch was made and continued to use Dicor, which subsequently would react with the roof membrane. From what I understand NW has switched back to the earlier roofing material that they used for years. My TC is a 2010 and Dicor works well. NW should be able to tell AF and WC owners what type of material you have on your particular year of TC.
