Can someone recommend a not too expensive RV park to use as a base to explore New Orleans and surroundings. We have a toad so local transportation not a problem.Thanks in advance.

We did stay twice in 15 years spread at Bayou Segnette State ParkGood prices, if I remember they honor senior pass for 1/2 discount, nice big sites with lot of vegetation, the only cons were insects. I walk via French Quarters RV park. For big $$$ you park over your neighbour sewer and you have post-stamp sized lawn.

Pontchartrain Landing on France Road in New Orleans is a nice park. It is somewhat expensive, but with Passport America membership, it's about $40 per night....

There were a couple of NOLA threads in the Parks & Campgrounds forum recently. The prices seem to fluctuate based on if the Saints are playing at home.

We stayed at the KOA West of town. We went to see New Orleans not the park so I don't know what they had to offer but they were friendly and helpful.
