Seeking advice for upgrading sinks

I have been looking forward to upgrading my sinks for a while and am seeking advice from people on here.
I'm thinking that I just measure the old sink 18 7/8"X 24 1/2", buy a matching size one, make adjustments to the plumbing and then run some clear caulking around it.
The goal is to swap my two drain kitchen sink to a larger metal single sink.

Is there anything I'm overlooking and should prepare for? And will traditional house sinks work for camper plumbing hookups?

    We installed a new double bowl SS sink in our 5er. It was slightly larger than the one it replaced, but after careful measuring it fit like a charm. We chose to stick with a double bowl. It has a fairly deep bowl on the left side, that with the high arch faucet I can sit a 5 gal bucket in the bowl and fill with the faucet without tipping the bucket.

    kitchen sinks in the trailers ive had, had 1 1/4 drain fittings, typical in a bathroom in a house vs the normal 1 1/2 in house kitchen sink. even so the plumbing should be an easy swap

    next time I replace the sink and countertop in our tt, im doing a new laminate top with undermount sink like the one in our kitchen that I did 15 yrs ago, we love it!!

    Im considering swapping my kitchen sink as well. The newer models of my trailer have a large farm style where I have a 2 basin. It looks like etrailer sells the farm style and should be a drop in.

    An important factor to consider, if you plan on doing more then just weekend traveling, is finding a rig with a seating area other than the dinette, plus lots of storage.

    Thanks for all the advice. I have a better understanding now. And will make sure to double check all the dimensions.

    I replaced the plastic sinks with SS ones. Neither would just drop in. Cabinets in a trailer are not as deep as residential ones.
    I had to do some modifications to both bath and kitchen tops, as well as the cabinets. In a former life, I was a cabinet/furniture maker, so it wasn’t that difficult.
    It will take a fair amount of measuring and figuring out how it will all fit.
    The results for us were great.

    The sinks used in RVs are usually "bar sinks" in the plumbing aisle at the big box. Everything else is the same. As Don notes, make sure to get the right size drains.

    If you can find what you want in a size that will work, go for it. Swapping double for single drains is nothing but some drain fittings. The sticking point might be the pipe size. I have found thandard household drains to be larger diameter than the size used in RVs. Measure twice before jumping in.
