let us know how your lashup works out. There is usually some "fiddling" with the suspension when you add a truck camper, no matter hard side or soft. The trick is to load you sxxx and find out what needs to be addressed. The other 'myth' is that soft side campers weigh less than hard sides. SOME soft sides weight less than hard sides. Soft sides are somewhat better off-road as they have better clearance for trees up top, and a somewhat lower center of gravity. But, most soft sides are wider and longer than my hardside Lance 165-s, so, pick your poison.
