Absolutely, why not make use of the mount, very nice job .
Extra table space outside is nice to have, we do the same and fabricated a mounted table and sink off our rear ladder. Our outside shower is also there and makes a nice outdoor kitchen....and counter . Good job gmw :)

I'd bet the flooring is relatively light so makes a good shelf for an RV. I may have to blatantly steal this idea, lol.

Did you dado the edge trim or wrap the edge of the flooring? Inquiring minds...

If so, that would be a strange place for the manufacturer to also locate a gas grill.???

Yes I just did the simplest of dado joint in the edge molding just using the table saw blade set to cut about 3/8" deep. A couple of passes made it the correct width to snugly fit the thickness of the laminate flooring/shelf.

No that is actually the inlet for the black tank flush ( that I never use ).

an outside table that hangs off the tt is on my winter list. big enough for the coffee maker, tea kettle, that kind of stuff. portable(detachable), strong enough for daily use.

we're using a portable folding table which sucks for various reasons primarily because of a 65 lb husky on a cable!!

we have the same problem with the bbq, but that's another issue!

But what make and model of trailer is that?
It seems strange that the black water flush and the exhaust for your heater would be on the same side of the trailer as your awning. And as others have said, also very strange that the BW access is right behind where your bbq or your table would go.

Don't most trailers have BW flush and heater vent on the "back side" of the trailer? Are your BW and GW dumps also on the awning side?

I suspect they put the BW flush right there, because it was the closest, cheapest easiest place to put it. Right behind that wall is the head, so that puts the loop and the check valve for that fitting under the sink in the head, and right above the black tank.

Had they put this fitting on the streetside where the fresh fill, city connection etc is, they would have needed to spend, oh what, maybe three dollars or so to run a hose to the back of the trailer. And we all know they ain't gonna spend three bucks if they can avoid it.

A black tank flush is a gimmick as far as I'm concerned. I'm really not all that interested if my black tank is that clean inside. So I never use it.

I guess I don't see the "problem" with having that fitting by the BBQ. It's not like it's unsanitary....it's an inlet valve where water goes inward. It has a check valve. Nothing "dirty" is associated with the fitting.

The dump valves are over on the streetside, right behind the rear tire.

Yes Steve, the BBQ that came with my camper is pretty lame so I don't use it anyway. And I really prefer to have my BBQ out away from the trailer a little bit. I have one that runs on little one pound bottles.

And like you, I wanted to be able to set the coffee maker out there ( there is an outside outlet right next to this shelf ), have a place to set things like hot dog buns, chips etc. I usually travel by myself so these kinds of "spaces" can be small and still meet my needs.
