Most TT owners do not feel the need for shock absorbers, those that do, get them.
My TT does not have satellite TV, electric tongue jack or power stabilizers jacks; there is nothing wrong with these conveniences, they are just not worth the cost to me. Still, others love these options.
Shock absorbers are about HANDLING. Comfort is a byproduct. Ever try driving a car with shocks that are totally shot? It wont track straight, it wont corner properly, in fact you name the handling characteristic and it wont do it.
This is why cars have shocks. And they should be STANDARD equipment on all TT"s
