If you can afford it, I recommend the 2017 F350 4x4 with the 6.7L diesel and Lariat Ultimate with 5th wheel prep package. I bought my 40ft 5'r two weeks after getting the truck. The truck tows like a dream. Empty, it almost rides like a car and has tons of room inside. The 5'r hitch was a drop-in because of the 5'r package. It keeps track of the miles of the trailer is on and even has a dash towing checklist that is customizable per trailer. The Adaptive cruise control is better then canned beer if you ask me as it really helps on long hauls when following traffic. You can rest your foot instead of hovering over the gas/brake.
As far as power goes, I can pass the chuggers and maintain as steady 60mph going up to Tahoe. And on the flipside of that, the automatic jake-brake coupled with the adaptive cruise coming back keeps the brakes nice and cool.
Just my opinion, your mileage may vary :-)
That sounds like a very sweet truck! I had to quickly leave the dealership after looking at the identical truck to yours but in black.
But better than canned beer???? I don't know about that! Definitely not better than cold bottled beer!! :B
