I think this really came down to poor communication. Either he thought I didn't know what I was talking about or was trying to relay something that was important to him but butchered it up in his delivery. But they are really nice folks and great mechanics and have had them put tires on several other vehicles. He had the tires I wanted all along he just messed up the conversation about load rating. I did my research to confirm what I wanted and they have them cheaper than anyone else in town, they're close and do all our other maintenance, so it all works out. Just a very weird conversation. Going with the Michelin Defenders. Good luck with them and my wife currently runs them on her car, and they have a good warranty. I didn't really want an AT tire. We live in the South and I don't off road with my truck. I just need a good highway tire with the proper load rating. Still miffed that the OEM tires wore out so quickly.
