Short bed truck and camper combos

So yes, " more space in the camper yet a standard bed truck." Since the manufacturers sell it as an option, it's not so out of the question. I would rather not have to buy a new truck, but was hoping for more SB camper options in the 8' to 8'6" floor range. The non-slide short bed TC's do follow my basic floorplan, that's one reason we were hoping to expand a little. The only luxuries we really hoped for was a slide out, a little bit larger fridge and maybe a generator the manufacturers offer it but most are in the 8'11" to 9'6" range so I was wondering who may have experience with that. Rugged Mountain Polar 860 has a slide but no Gen with an 8'6" floor like my current TC, so that may be an option. If anyone has any experience with that model, I'd love to hear from you. Host is trying to sell the Ranier SB 9.5 for a short bed with a9'6" floor. That just doesn't seem feasible. I appreciate the feedback. Any other thoughts, please share. Happy Labor Day to all
