Heres the best way to look at it you can end up buy 2 trucks or buy the best on for the job...In 2004 we bought a new Durango being it could tow 8,000#,,so we bought a 7,000# Cougar..it was all i could do to get it home.. the sales man at the RV store said no problem...What did I know we were new to this...Well I was lucky, the Dodge dealer bought back the Durango and slid the deal on the Durango over to a 2004.5 Ram 2500hd Diesel Quad cab...WOW what a difference..Towed like it wasn't even there, and stopped on a dime too..You see it can work, but get the right truck for the job..You see after using the Cougar for a year going all over New England we endded up getting a nice 5th wheel..That endded up being a 12,000# camper/CedarCreek. With this one, we went cross country from NJ to Ca..When I bought the trailer at the time we wanted to stay local but once you get bit by the RVing life style of traveling, its real nice..
