Slide Floor Replacement - How to protect bottom exposed side

I may be looking at slide floor replacement due to water damage. The typical water gets to the bottom of the slide, there is no drip edge so it turn the corner onto the underbelly and wicks across the bottom of the slide floor. What can I use to protect the new floor besides the typical black fabric darco. Seems like you cannot find the darco in the 12 mil thickness that they use on the slide floors. My understanding is the flex mend you can get at the mobile home centers in much thinner. Not really a fan of the darco anyway. I have considered FRP, epoxy, or varnish but need to know what others have used in this case. Thanks.
