I opted for a non slide based on the keep it simple principle. One less thing that can break or leak and less weight on the SRW. I also went for a big non slide the Lance 1055, we don't feel cramped in it even with 3 dogs. The large Dry bath is worth the space it takes It was great to be able to stick my waders, PFD, float tube. and fly rod in the shower and still have a functioning sink and toilet with room to spare. last winter we were in Yosemite it was 18* and snowing and we were toasty with the snap on vent and skylight covers in place and the furnace on the lowest setting no drafts or cold spots. Now if I had kids or another couple with us yes I would want a slide out. On a 10 day desert trip in the summer I never wished for a slide, need to pee its 115* pull over open the door and pop it to the camper and the loo no slide in the way.
My friends have a Lance with a slide, they also have a dually they wouldn't have it any other way.
