Snow on covered TT...shovel off or not?

We got a couple of ft. of heavy wet snow the other day. I noticed that a couple of my neighbours (all of us have covers on our TTs) got up and shovelled the snow off their TTs....I suspect they're just overachievers and I left mine to melt....for 3 reasons...1. I was afraid of damaging the cover, 2. I was afraid of damaging things on the TT top like AC, skylights, solar panel, TV antennae and 3. I was afraid of damaging me if I fell off...
Opinions?
  • Leave it alone, especially if your not going to be using it. Less chance of breaking something or yourself. Only reason I cleaned ours was that we were going/coming south and did not want the toad crushed.

  • I have never seen a RV dealer shovel the trailers on the lot...
  • Those are three very very good reasons. They are what we have been using every year and still find out that Spring takes care of it eventually.
  • I wouldn't use a shovel - just too easy to hurt something up there and if you break something plastic, it will leak.
I would try using a broom to get as much off as possible.
Or, maybe a strong leaf blower!
