I keep a paste and copy of reported Maxxis failures from rv.net to counter hype we see mostly on rv.net about no reported failures on this brand...... which is about the same across all rv and non rv trailering websites.

The OP had a tread separation issue with his Maxxis.
Some folks blame him.....and other trailer owners for those failures ....even though they said they babied their tires.
Much hype/print about a nylon over lay finally being used on some ST tires. However Maxxis has said only certain size ST8008 tires have the over lay which can lead to tire failure after 2-3 years of use.
Most ST tire victims will look for a better tire which can be a simple size change/load range change/brand change/tire type change/etc.
Which I would bet the OP is now looking into.
