One of the most frustrating things when debating motivated reasoners is that they refuse to debate the facts. They use many tactics and the one germane to this comment is the ad hominem attack. Simply slander, marginalize or be generally dismissive of the provider of the information so that the information itself is dismissed.
Another tactic is to wave off the information as marketing or other nefarious plot then provide their talking points as the real facts.
Not targeting anybody in particular, just thought it was important to point out.
You one, to recommend a tire in classification that doesn't exist!
