To the OP:
I have run Maxxis tires for the last 6 years on 2 campers with no problems. I have a tire pressure monitor, always keep them aired up, am no where near max weight, and travel between 60 and 65 mph. The only reason I have them is that they were recommended by Jim Campen of Jim Campen Trailer Sales in Henderson County, NC. I trust him and his many years of experience a lot more than the anecdotal experiences found on this and other TT forums. I certainly don't think there is any "hype" being presented as I can see no profit for any of the posters here. There certainly is an abundance of passionate opinions. At the 5 year mark for my present set of tires, I will look further into the matter of which brand/type I will purchase. They will not be of Chinese manufacture, just on principle.
