Soft spot near door

We just looked at a 2007 trail r-vision 25s camper. It was very nice except there's a soft spot by the door. Now I'm pretty handy, and my dad is a contractor who can help me with repairs. My question is this: does anyone know if the floors in those are one piece or if there's OSB in there I can use a bonding agent with? Or should I just nix this altogether? We have a limited budget to buy and it's one of the better ones we've seen so if I can fix it relatively easily I'd like to.
  • Thanks for the responses. That's what I figured but thought I'd double check.
  • There will likely be a lot more damage under the floor that just that soft spot...you are buying a trailer for relaxation and pleasure....not a can of worms.

of course unless the price is really, really, really good.
otherwise, there are a bazillion RV's out there for sale.
  • Nix it unless you are real handy because the floor is rotten ans most likely the sill is as well, plus you have to determine the source of the leak and fix that too. I'd have a hard look at the roof above the door and / or the door framing itself.

if you can get it cheap and are willing to do the work (and it's aluminum sided, not Filon, buy it' If it's Filon (smooth sided) leave it be.
