Starcraft 187tb

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience or thoughts on the Starcraft line of hybrid travel trailers?

We were at a camper show yesterday and were looking at a new 2015 Starcraft Travel Star 187TB. Looked well put together and had what we were looking for.

They had the msrp at $24,453 with the show price of $15,995. Seemed like a good price? Been looking used and used hybrids (5 or so years old) seem to still hold there price at $10000 or so.

Any thoughts on starcraft?

Thanks
Rob
  • Welcome to the StarCraft family.
We are the adopted siblings of Jayco.
I've got a StarCraft 235fb and we've used it for 3 seasons now and have loved it. Just a couple of minor fixes that we took care of ourselves.
    Happy camping!

Thanks everyone, we did end up purchasing it. Ended up that they had sold all there 2015 models, so we got a 2016 and were able to pick the fabrics and colors.

Glad it worked out for ya! Congrats!!
  • Thanks everyone, we did end up purchasing it. Ended up that they had sold all there 2015 models, so we got a 2016 and were able to pick the fabrics and colors.
  • I also had a StarCraft 239, it was a 2013 model. Served us very well and we loved all of the room once we opened it up, setup was also pretty easy and it was a breeze to tow. We traded it in for a regular travel trailer last year, also a StarCraft. Been very satisfied w/ the brand.
  • We just got a Starcraft 239TBS in the fall, only have had it out on its maiden voyage so far lol. Overall its a nice camper, had a few minor things that warranty took care of. So far so good though!
  • We had an '05 Starcraft hybrid for 8 years. No major issues with it and the dealer gave us a good trade-in on the new TT. We thought it was a well-made trailer. The only reason we traded it was because DW's knees are bad and climbing into the bunk end got to be a real pain (literally) for her. The only bunk end leak I had was operator error - got a piece of canvas caught in the weatherstripping.
Starcraft was a victim of the '08 recession and is now owned by Jayco.
  • Our daughter-in-law's parents own a Starcraft hybrid that they bought new about 8 or 9 years ago and it has served them well. From what I've seen at shows, Starcraft makes a nice unit and when we had Starcraft pop-ups, we were happy with them. And with the one camper that did have problems, Starcraft took care of us without any hassles at all.

The price seems very good. All you can do is see what the prices are at other dealers via internet search.
  • Well I meant to put this in hybrid travel trailer section. Can a mod move this over instead of double posting?
